    Default Where the Yellowstone Goes

A documentary about Robert Hawkins, a Bozeman native and flyfishing guide who floated the entire length of the Yellowstone River (starting at the Park boundary). Sounded like a cool project; the world premier was last Saturday in Bozeman - anybody get to see it?

    Regards,
    Scott

Not yet - but I do believe it will be shown in Missoula on June 9. Not ordinarily my thing, but I think I will make an exception based on what I've heard about this one.

At the Wilma (my brother-in-law lives in an apartment above the theater). That would be a neat place to see it.

My wife and I saw this movie last night at the Mammoth Community Center, in the Park. I believe they said that was the 4th showing of the film, with 17 more showings across the country in the next 30 days. You can also buy the DVD online.

I thought the film was good, and worth seeing, but it seemed to lack a bit of focus as to what it's real objective was - was it fly fishing, conservation, or of the people and places seen along the 300 or so miles of river that they floated in just 30 days.

It did renew my appreciation of what a wonderful treasure the Yellowstone River is, however, and how lucky I am to be able to spend practically every day on it for nearly 5 months every year.
