Bring that one to the Muskegon River in the evenings this month.
Those hook points are important!
I caught twenty-five panfish in just under an hour tonight. They all struck a lead eyed olive wooly bugger (lazy version of a damsel nymph). Around here anyway the fish are gorging on them.
112" crappies? They must make huge fillets!
Thanks guys. I understand that I have to help do some outboard repair before it can be tested but I have high hopes for it.
I could see that working for night fishing in the summer, especially if you switched the indicator to glow in the dark yarn.
I've been invited to go trolling on Lake Michigan. We mostly use crankbaits in the spring but I want to try this too.

Thanks everyone. It turned out to be a good day after a rocky start with no power for four hours. Prince did his duty as a cuddle heater and I had the perfect excuse to lay on the couch and read...
Happy Birthday Mike. I hope you're having a better day than Saturday. (Go Blue!)
This pair will be fished with a spinning rod but the ones tied with medium sized eyes are fishable with a six weight rod. I try to keep the loop open to avoid hitting the rod tip which limits their...
These are tied with extra large eyes and weigh about 1/4 ounce for drifting/jigging from a boat but I've had good luck with them tied with medium eyes for smallmouth.

Start with a single haul. Grasp the line near the rod with your off hand. There should be little or no slack between the rod and your hand. Wrap four fingers around the line with the back of your...
Have you learned to double haul? You may just not be developing enough line speed to shoot more line. You gain line speed in one of three ways:
1 you increase the forward acceleration of the rod...
It looks good. Have you tried casting it and seeing how it retrieves yet? If it doesn't run belly down try a slight bendback to encourage the bb's to stay in the right place.
Thanks everyone. I passed a woman walking a dog who looked like Buttterfly yesterday and had to pull over but I have visited the Humane society and will be bringing home a dog tomorrow.
I'll second that. Thank you!
Some of you knew her. She died last night of congestive heart failure.

Betty, since no else so far has reported that problem you might want to run a scan of your computer in case the source is there. Or you may just be the unlucky first victim here.
My memory was wrong. He specifies lady amherst or golden pheasant. I know Ihave tied them ( I thought) with ringneck feathers.
According to the little pamphlet that came with my first fly tying kit many years go written be the originator of the gimp you an use the feather from the base any soft hackle feather.
One factor is how much trouble you will be in if your battery dies. We have run the battery dry on my brothers boat on a very small lake where we needed less than a half hour to paddle back to his...
