Big Fish, and Controversy, on San Juan

Hello Everyone,

I thought those of you who fish the San Juan River in New Mexico would be interested in the an article depicting the controversy regarding management of the San Juan River Trout Fishery. It was published in the Las Cruces and Silver City newspapers on Father's Day, June 15.

Please take a moment to read this as it points to the manner in which the interests of the trout fishery and those who treasure it have essentially been dismissed and kept out of the equation of decision-making. It also alludes to the need, for there to be a more cooperative arrangement between BOR, BLM, NMGF, NMSP and those interested in the fishery.
